The Latino Medical Student Association - Southwest Region (LMSA-SW) in conjunction with The University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) cordially invite you to attend our 4th annual Regional Conference in Fort Worth, TX. The theme of our conference this year is "Saber es Poder: Empowering Latino Patients and Health Care Professionals with Knowledge." The goal of our conference is to begin to provide the tools, knowledge base, and skill sets that will be required of the next generation of physicians that will be responsible for a Latino population that is growing faster than ever before. We will be providing this tremendous networking opportunity with myriad workshops covering topics ranging from health care policy, care of the underserved, Latino specific health concerns, to residency planning panels and professional development seminars. There will also be an Exhibitor Fair with representatives from medical schools and institutes from all over the country, a Research Symposium to present your original work, and keynote speakers that will provide unique perspectives on health care for Latinos in the future. We will also hold our regional elections for the upcoming year.
